Description:

Commercial and industrial photovoltaic energy storage system consists of a built-in 60KW MPPT controller   module, a 100KW PCS (Power Conversion System), and a 240KW STS (Smart Static Switching) module. · It utilizes a professional air conditioning system in the energy storage cabinet for intelligent temperature regulation.   It is equipped with a gas-based fire suppression system, as well as temperature and humidity sensors, water intrusion sensors,   BMS (Battery Management System), and EMS (Energy Management System). · An independent UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) provides backup power specifically for the EMS, allowing users to view   system faults even in the event of a power outage.

What is a PCS system?

PCS (Power Conversion System) is a key component in an energy storage system and is mainly used for conversion between direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC). The PCS system plays a crucial role in energy storage solutions. It connects energy storage batteries to the power grid or loads to achieve effective storage and release of electricity.

Working principle:

  • Charging process:When the PCS is in charging mode, it converts alternating current from the power grid or renewable energy sources into direct current, and then stores this electrical energy in the battery through the battery management system (BMS).The BMS monitors the state of the battery and ensures that the battery is charged within a safe range.

  • Discharging process:When the PCS is in discharging mode, it converts the direct current in the battery into alternating current for use by loads or transmission to the power grid.The BMS continues to monitor the state of the battery and ensures that the battery is discharged within a safe range.

  • Grid interaction:The PCS can perform charging and discharging operations according to the needs of the power grid and participate in the auxiliary services of the power grid.Through the intelligent scheduling algorithm of the energy management system (EMS), the PCS can optimize the charging and discharging strategies of the energy storage system and improve economic benefits.
